Secret Level: Amazon’s Video Game Anthology Brings Iconic Titles Like Sifu to Life
Via Prime Video

Secret Level, the upcoming video game anthology series from Blur Studio and Amazon MGM Studios, debuts on Prime Video on December 10. Spearheaded by Deadpool director Tim Miller, each of the 15 episodes brings a beloved game to life, drawing comparisons to Netflix’s Love, Death & Robots with its diverse, standalone storytelling format. The anthology will feature stories inspired by iconic titles like Armored Core, Dungeons & Dragons, Pac-Man, and The Outer Worlds, delivering a blend of classic nostalgia and stunning modern animation.

As a huge fan of Sifu’s stylish combat and gritty narrative, I’m especially excited to see how Secret Level interprets the game’s high-octane action. The original Sifu short film was a masterclass in translating the game’s mechanics into a visually stunning experience, capturing the intensity of every strike and the elegance of the martial arts. In an anthology known for diverse and unique storytelling, an entire episode focused on Sifu has the potential to dive even deeper into the game’s themes of vengeance, discipline, and the relentless pursuit of mastery. The combination of Blur Studio’s cinematic prowess and the creative freedom of an anthology format could deliver a visually thrilling and emotionally resonant tribute to Sifu’s world.

With years of dedication and love for gaming poured into each episode, it’s clear this series is a labor of love—crafted by those who truly “fucking love video games.” For fans, this anthology isn’t just another adaptation; it’s a celebration of gaming’s impact, reimagined with the care it deserves.
